DAVID R. IRVINE is a lifelong Utah resident, attorney in private practice, former Republican legislator, retired Army strategic intelligence officer, and an occasional public interest litigator.
He was elected to 4 terms in the Utah House of Representatives as a Republican from Bountiful, beginning in 1972. He has been involved in dozens of successful legislative election campaigns over a span of 25+ years. In 2008 he was co-counsel for Republican and Democratic legislators who filed two ethics complaints against sitting members of the House.
He hopes the UCC will continue to recruit people who have community recognition and influence throughout the state for the purpose of contributing enlightened thought on important state issues and gathering broad support for legislative action.
