Current Issue: Ethics Reform:

Our Proposed Reforms:

Rationale

Section One: Legally Prohibited Violations of Ethics Standards

Section Two: Financial Reforms

Section Three: Independent Ethics Commission

Section Four: Reforms to Enhance Utah’s Democracy

  1. RobinPowel says:

    I support the proposed reforms.

  2. David S. Saari, Ph.D. says:

    These reforms are absolutely necessary!

  3. Kathy Van Dame says:

Almost every standard proposed has been violated as documented in local media coverage. The 2001 redistricting outcomes were appalling. Salt Lake City was divided among all three congressional districts, Tooele county is divided into four Utah Senate districts and Moab is split down Main Street into two Utah House districts. Embarrassing!

Every one of these reforms will strenthen our democracy and raise the credibility of the Legislature.

  4. Todd S Blood MD says:

These reforms should have been enacted long ago.
Public service should remain a “service,” not a method of self aggrandizement.

  5. Howard Noel says:

This is a great effort. Excellent proposals supported by strong, thoughtful people. You have my strong support.

  6. Edward Macner says:

More choices and options will improve governments.
